Belly Business - 9 weeks

How far along: 9 weeks (and 5 days from the time of the picture)!

Size of the baby: An olive

Total weight gain/loss: -8 pounds.  I lost another pound this week, but I'm actually feeling good about my weight loss.  Earlier in the week I was down 9 pounds, but ever since starting zofran I gained a pound.  Even though I lost weight I'm hopeful I'm on the right track.

Cravings: Not craving anything, but some foods are consistently tolerable.  Applesauce/apples and a cheese stick are always good for lunch.  I usually have a snack of miso soup.  Special K is being replaced with whole grain english muffins and peanut butter in the morning to up my calorie content.

Food Aversions: You name it!  I'm scared for Thanksgiving.

Symptoms: Frequent trips to the restroom and nausea.  I started zofran this week which is helping me keep food down, but I'm still dealing with all day nausea and food aversions.  The second trimester is in sight though!

Movement: Not for a long time.

Gender: Last week I was sure it was a girl, but I'm not so sure anymore.  Just praying for a healthy baby.

Name:  We're hoping to finish an agreed upon name list this week while we are both off for the week.  I can't imagine choosing a name without seeing the baby though so I'm sure it will be a long time until we commit to one name.

What I'm enjoying this week: Telling my Aunts and Uncles!  We celebrated my birthday at my sister's house this weekend.  My mom asked what I was looking forward to this year and I told her I was looking forward to June, because that's when we would meet our baby!  My Auntie Joanie cried - it was the sweetest reaction.

What I'm looking forward to: We have a 10 week ultrasound on Wednesday.  Before my 8 week ultrasound I started crying because I was worried.  My doctor told the nurse to schedule me for another ultrasound at 10 weeks because he doesn't want me to have to worry (he is the nicest man).  I'm praying that things are progressing and little sweetpea is healthy.

Due date prediction: The due date is still 6-22-12, but the baby is measuring ahead of schedule at 6-19-12.

When my camera/computer decides to start working I'll update my belly pics.  For now, I'm tired of being frustrated. :-)
